Proverbs 3:5 (day 22)

To help us all remember Proverbs 3:5 we sing it to the tune of "this old man"

trust the Lord (this old man)
with all your heart (he played one)
lean not on your own understanding (he played knick-knack on my thumb)
Proverbs chapter 3 verse 5 (with a knick-knack paddy-whack give the dog a bone)
trust the Lord with all your heart (this old man came rolling home)

and by the way, Proverbs 3:6 works well with the same tune:
In all your ways
acknowledge him
he will make your pa-ths straight
Proverbs chapter 3 verse 6
in all your ways acknowledge him

Here is a video we made a while ago to send to Daddy at work.

Amazing! I used to make up songs for the kids to learn by and it really works. It works for Mawmaws too. Ha! I'm finding memorizing Scripture more and more difficult than it was when I was a child. A good reason to teach them young. I'm thankful for the ones I did memorized in my youth.
